Une anglophone avec des racines francophones immigre au Canada des États-Unis, 100 ans après l’immigration de ses arrières-grand-parents dans la direction opposée. Elle a des questions : Que veut dire «francophone»? C’est quoi l’affaire avec la reine? Pourquoi Jack Kerouac est-il le seul franco-américain que les canadiens connaissent? Est-ce que Céline Dion est une sorcière? Avec cette nouvelle pièce intime et comique, écrivaine et comédienne franco-américaine Abby Paige cherche des réponses et trouve des liens entre les vivants et les morts, le passé et le présent, L’Histoire et les histoires. An anglophone with francophone roots immigrates to Canada from the United States, a century after her great-grandparents immigrated in the opposite direction. She has questions: What does “francophone” mean? What’s the deal with the queen? Why is Jack Kerouac the only Franco-American anyone’s ever heard of? Is Céline Dion a witch? With this new comedic and intimate one-woman show, Franco-American writer and performer Abby Paige looks for answers and finds connections between the living and the dead, the past and the present, History (L’Histoire) and stories (les histoires).
