LES FILLES DU QUOI?
An anglophone with francophone roots immigrates to Canada from the United States, a century after her great-grandparents immigrated in the opposite direction. She has questions: What does “francophone” mean? What’s the deal with the queen? Why is Jack Kerouac the only Franco-American anyone’s ever heard of? Is Céline Dion a witch? With this new comedic, intimate, and bilingual one-woman show, Franco-American writer and performer Abby Paige crosses borders of time and space in search of answers and finds the threads that connect the living and the dead, the present and the past, stories (les histoires) and History (L’Histoire). Premiered 2022.
