Exciting Announcement!

I’m thrilled to share that my two plays, Piecework: When We Were French and Les filles du QUOI?, will be published in a bilingual edition from the University of Maine Press in 2025.

Long in the making, this volume will make the plays available to a wider audience — in two languages — and hopefully continue to create conversations about history, storytelling, ancestry, and identity.

The French versions of the plays were created with Franco-American playwright Grégoire Chabot, whose own work, written in his beautiful New England French, was collected in the 1996 volume from the UMaine Press, Un Jacques Cartier Errant. After Greg’s death in 2021, I completed our work with the multilingual editorial support of Agathe Anne, and I’m sure he would approve of the vibrant and playful texts we ended up with. I’m delighted to share them with francophone readers and audiences.

Stay tuned for more information about how to pre-order and about launch events around northern New England in the spring 2025! I can’t wait to celebrate this milestone with you.
