This week marks the publication of the latest issue of Résonance, the Franco-American literary journal for which I am honored to serve as Drama & Book Review Editor. Our sixth issue features a wonderful interview with Maine writer Jim Bishop, and beautiful collections of new fiction, poetry, and creative non-fiction.
I worked with a group of very talented writers (and readers) for this issue’s book review section, and I’m grateful that we were able to cover some titles with deep relevance for French-heritage communities for the United States, from Zachary Richard’s, Les Rafales du carême, the first French-language novel published in Louisiana in over a century, to Mercedes de Guardiola’s study of the Vermont eugenics program. I hope you’ll check it out.
