I’m delighted to share that the new issue of Résonance is out now! This open-access, online literary journal was the brainchild of, among others, the late Franco-American playwright and elder Grégoire Chabot, who passed away during the pandemic. Greg imagined places, real and virtual, where writers and artists could come together and dream about what it might mean to share language, heritage, and history. Culture, after all, is not made by individuals, but by communities.
It’s been fascinating to watch the journal grow and emerge over its five issues so far, and especially to contribute to the past two issues as Book Review (and, following in Grégoire’s footsteps) Drama Editor. Join us in celebrating this fifth issue by exploring the work of our brilliant contributors, this time including Leslie Choquette, Craig Blais, Jeri Theriault, David Surette, and Denis Ledoux, and visual artist Hương Ngô, whose interview by Erica Vermette is a particular highlight.
